1. Government adjusts five anti-epidemic measures
Having assessed the epidemic development and taking into consideration the need for resuming social and economic activities, the Government announced that a series of anti-epidemic measures are adjusted with effect from December 14, such that citizens' daily lives may continue to resume normalcy in an orderly manner.

2. Government adjusts isolation, quarantine and testing arrangements
The Government announced that starting from December 9, persons infected with COVID-19 may be discharged from isolation on Day 5 at the earliest if they obtain negative rapid antigen test (RAT) results on both Day 4 and Day 5 of the isolation period. For close contacts of infected persons, they will be discharged from quarantine on Day 5 if negative results are obtained in all the daily RATs during the five-day quarantine period, and are not required to undergo further tests. Daily RAT requirement for inbound persons from Taiwan or overseas places is also adjusted to until Day 5 after arrival at Hong Kong.

3. Government maintains existing social distancing measures
In view of the latest epidemic trend, the Government announced that the existing social distancing measures which are set to expire on December 14 will be maintained until December 28.

4. Scientific Committees under CHP updated consensus interim recommendations on use of COVID-19 vaccines
The Scientific Committee on Vaccine Preventable Diseases and the Scientific Committee on Emerging and Zoonotic Diseases (JSC) under the Centre for Health Protection (CHP) of the Department of Health, joined by the Chief Executive's expert advisory panel (EAP), convened a meeting to discuss and issue the consensus interim recommendations on the use of COVID-19 vaccines in Hong Kong.

5. SCS viewed first-day administration of BioNTech bivalent vaccine
The Secretary for the Civil Service, Mrs Ingrid Yeung, visited the Community Vaccination Centre (CVC) at CUHK Medical Centre to see for herself the BioNTech bivalent vaccination of the public and learn about the views of the vaccine recipients.

6. SCS urged parents to act fast and arrange COVID-19 vaccination for their children
The Secretary for the Civil Service, Mrs Ingrid Yeung, urged parents not to underestimate the effects and complications faced by young children without the protection conferred by the COVID-19 vaccine should they get infected during her attendance at "Children with jabs, parents with ease" parent-child activities. Parents should act fast in arranging COVID-19 vaccination for their children. For the sake of their health, the young and old should receive the required dosage of vaccine as early as possible for the best protection.

7. Latest arrangements of COVID-19 vaccination venues
The Government announced the latest arrangements of COVID-19 vaccination venues. The Yuen Long Community Vaccination Station (CVS) will be set up on December 16. Members of the public can make reservations for vaccination services for themselves or their children through booking.covidvaccine.gov.hk.

8. Latest inbound control arrangement for foreign domestic helpers
The Labour Department (LD) reminded foreign domestic helpers (FDHs) and employers that the Government adjusted the inbound control arrangement for overseas inbound persons with effect from December 9.
