1. Government extends existing social distancing measures

The Government announced the gazettal of the extension of existing social distancing measures in accordance with the public health emergency regulations under the Prevention and Control of Disease Ordinance, which would be effective from July 14 to 27.

2. Government announces enhancements on COVID-19 positive cases management

The Government announced enhancements on the management of cases tested positive for COVID-19. With regard to control points, outbound travellers travelling to the Mainland or Macao via the Shenzhen Bay Port, Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Hong Kong Port, or the Hong Kong International Airport, whose special nucleic acid test results are positive, would be issued with isolation orders immediately and sent to a community isolation facility (CIF).

3. Online booking for departure special nucleic acid testing service at Shenzhen Bay Control Point is available
The Government announced that, starting from July 15, outbound travellers crossing the boundary via the Shenzhen Bay Port are required to present proof of booking confirmation for undergoing the special nucleic acid test. The Government launched an online booking system for the special nucleic acid test service at the Shenzhen Bay Port at 0.00am July 14, so as to facilitate planning of journeys by travellers choosing to cross the boundary through the control point.

4. Government updates list of places of recognised vaccination records
The Government announced that it has concluded discussions with the Government of Barbados to accept vaccination records issued by Barbados as recognised vaccination records for persons arriving at Hong Kong who have stayed in overseas places. The relevant arrangements take effect at 0.00am on July 13.

5. Intravenous injection should only be performed by healthcare professionals

The Department of Health (DH) is investigating a suspected case of sepsis after receiving intravenous injection of glutathione. Members of the public are reminded that intravenous injection should only be performed by healthcare professionals.
