Updated information on Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)Government continues to relax social distancing measures under Prevention and
Control of Disease Ordinance in a gradual and orderly manner
In view of the local epidemic wave that has continued to subside and the situation is stabilising gradually,
the Government will continue to relax social distancing measures in a gradual and orderly manner from September 11,
for a period of 7 days till September 17.
1) The number of persons allowed to be seated together at one table in catering premises will be relaxed from 2 to 4,
other infection control measures would remain in effect
2) Re-open more scheduled premises, including sports premises, amusement game centres,
places of amusement, places of public entertainment as well as mahjong-tin kau premises
3) The number of persons allowed in group gatherings in public places will be relaxed from 2 to 44) Maintain the mandatory mask-wearing requirement on public transports and in all public placesUnless the epidemic situation takes a sudden downturn, the Government expects to re-open scheduled premises
that involve higher infection risk in the next phase, including theme parks, exhibition venues, swimming pools etc.
